Homeward Trails is a new nonprofit animal rescue organization, based in Washington, DC. We rescue dogs and cats from rural West Virginia shelters where their chances of finding permanent homes are slim. Sadly, without our help, all of these dogs would face certain euthanasia - usually within days of our rescuing them. We then find them permanent, loving homes in and around the Washington, DC area.
